This is pretty basic, for all those out there who do not know this. To make a nameless desktop shortcut, right click it and go to "Rename". Then press Alt+255 on your keypad (located on the right side of your keyboard). This is the code for a space. If you want to make multiple desktop shortcuts nameless, you need to change the amount of "255s" they have. For instance, if one desktop shortcut has Alt+255, to make a different shortcut nameless, you need to rename it to "Alt+255255 or with more "255s".

I don't know, it makes your desktop look a little cleaner

I only have 2 things on my desktop; Recycle Bin and Shortcut to my E: Partition where I have all my personal stuff. Everything else is on my keyboard's shortcut keys. Can't get much cleaner than that.
