Installers:

Windows: http://www.josh.sys-techs.com/installer/ip...taller-2.3w.zip
Linux: http://ipodlinux.org/Installer_2#Download
Macintosh: http://ipodlinux.org/MacInstaller

First, plug in your iPod. If iTunes comes up right away, set the option "Disk Mode" and Apply. After it's done updating, it will still show up as a removable disk or iPod in Windows.

Now run the installer. Keep pressing next, and if you want to, you can make a backup of the original Apple iPod firmware (This is recommended).

Now install iPodLinux. Once this is done, and if executed successfully, you now exit the installer and eject your iPod.

Your iPod should have the Apple Logo showing up. While this is happening, hold rewind. A linux logo and a bunch of text should fly, and you will see a menu with "iPodLinux". But we aren't done yet.

Plug your iPod back in to your computer, and run the iPodLinux installer again. Select "Update installation" and choose the plug-ins you want. Update your iPodLinux, and exit the installer.

Go back into iPodLinux. Now you should have a bunch of plug-ins/games that you can play on your iPod (Bejewled, Duck Hunt, etc.). Enjoy!

*Pictures will be put in shortly*
*NOTE: To boot into iPodLinux while in the original Apple OS, hold the menu and select buttons. When the Apple Logo appears, hold rewind.

No, I didn't copy this. I've did this before on my iPod, and it had a lot of features. And iPodLinux gives you games, apps, etc. that you can use right on your iPod. Module list: http://ipodlinux.org/Special:Module
